Celebrate your life

19 May

Do you have a dream? You do know you can dream, right?

Now why would you live a boring life of a tick-tock clock when you can make celebrations every second. Making it a life worth living. Loving each moment. Living life to its fullest like there is no tomorrow.

To live each moment, you gotta quit being ordinary, be Extraordinary . Be awesome and if you are already awesome, be AWESOMER 😀 You gotta have a passion- for something and someone 😉

Like me, I ain’t an ordinary woman. And why because I have plans. No matter how big or small but they put a smile on my place and fill my heart with contentment. Because I have dreams which I need to fulfill, God willing, they keep me busy, busy – enjoying life to its fullest and to prepare myself for the bumpy road ahead. So, be a dreamer, and have big, humongous dreams.

  1. I want to look good, feel good, do good on a daily basis.
  2. Feed the poor – make life a wee bit easier for them.
  3. I wanna travel, see the whole world through my eyes.
  4. Drive my personal Red or Crisp white Range Rover.
  5. Ride a heavy bike, don’t have to own it 🙂
  6. Fly a jet.
  7. An avid reader and an accomplished writer.

I want to be his dearie wife, a “friend-like-mum” to my kids. A loving daughter, a caring sister, a passioante baker and a generous person overall. And then I wanna rest peacefully with my family in heaven. I want all this and much more from this One Simple life. It doesn’t have to be complicated, does it? After twenty years from now. When I’ll look at my ” Be a dreamer” list, I’ll have many Tick offs, God willing and even if I won’t have one or two clicks, i’ll have the answers to all the whys, God willing.

I know there are times when you just let your life, your passions, your dreams pass for something bigger, for some greater cause but IT SHOULD be that great otherwise stick to your guns and don’t let go of your dreams that easily. Fiiighggghhhttt because it’s worth it. And only you’ll know if it’s worth it or not. Like since I recall, I wanted to join the Pakistan Air force, flying jets was a dream. But then I got engaged. Now at that time I had to make a rational decision because I didn’t see fulfilling my dream without sacrificing peace of my family to be, my husband, my kids. So, this little girl made a big decision (I was 19 at that time) and I left my dream to join the Pakistan Air force for a much, much bigger cause. And now Alhumdo lillah when I look back, I have no guilts because I know, I know I made the right choice, So now I just wanna BUY a jet and fly it around, here there and everywhere 😀 Still holding on to my dream, in best possible way 😀

So, make a list pronto pronto, chop chop. I want a list from all and any of you, who is reading this and then keep it in your wallet or paste it on your drawer or just about anywhere you can see it everyday, it’ll remind you to take actions, plan accordingly. Let’s start Ticking off, shall we?

What ever they call you (Arshad, amna, javed, javeria, jawad etc), you have a new identity now, YOU ARE A DREAMER,  you gotta fight for it till your last breath. Which gives this simple question a tasty twist. Next time when somebody asks you this question, you’ll have a better tasting answers, which is less cheesy more spicy (if you like spicy) otherwise more sweeter than a mars bar. Now ask yourself…

“What’s your name?”

Answer is (No not sheela! hush! focus!.) ” My name is Dreamer, accomplishing big dreams is my game.”

Now start making your list. And get back to me when you have three ticks on it ( awww).

Start celebrating your life, and your time starts, NOW!

Facebook – Not as safe as you think

31 Jan

First try to understand that there is no such thing as “safe and secure” on the internet. Everything is recorded, everything is accessible and this entire system is loaded with loopholes. So next time when you hear them making this particular promise, don’t fall for it, please. You’ve been warned.

And Facebook, yes your favorite Facebook ain’t any different. Because Mark Zucherberg the founder and CEO of Facebook got his Facebook fan page hacked on Jan. 26th, 2011. The hacker wanted to get his attention, duh! so he left a post on his wall, saying:

“Let the hacking begin. If facebook (sic) needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business‘ the way Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus described it? [Link] What do you think? #hackercup2011″

Now have some sense and don’t upload private pictures anywhere on the internet especially facebook. Because fortunately or unfortunately everyone is on facebook, so if someone gets curios, they know where to go. Deciding whether internet is a marvel or menace is one thing, being careful is another. Because it’s both 🙂 Just keep your private information, may it be some family pictures, house addresses, cell phone numbers to yourself. Because it’s better to be safe than sorry.

So now let us hope and pray that my account won’t get hacked for writing all this.

When you know too little, too much!

6 Jan

You know what happens when you know too little, too much? Disaster. Kaboom, yes Kabooooom with as many “ooos” as you like.

Because when you do things for the sake of doing them, mostly because you see everyone around you doing it, you put yourself, your faith, your belief in great danger. Allah doesn’t want you to offer  Salah five times a day without even knowing the meaning of it. He doesn’t want you to fast in the Holy month of Ramadan to overeat at Iftar. He doesn’t want you to cover your head when you hear the call for prayer, HE doesn’t want you to place The Holy Quran on a beautifully carved wooden shelf and forget to read it everyday. He doesn’t.

He Wants you to know your actions. Because you cannot escape the consequences of them. Whether you’re listening to music or not, wear jeans or hijab, smoke or drink,  you should know what the hell you’re up to and have a rock solid answer for every action.

Don’t cover your head because your mum says so. Don’t smoke to look cool or because everyone is doing so. Try to become friends with all the “whys”, ponder, investigate. Stop nodding at everything you’re told. Find out whether something is allowed in Islam or not through references and then adjust yourself accordingly, please don’t try to find gray areas and try to fit Islam according to your own desire.

Knowing your actions, or what you’re doing and why you’re doing is so immensely IMPORTANT that Allah Almighty has based Jannah and Jahannam on it. Rejoicing in Heaven or burning in the scorching heat of Jahannam will be judged on your actions in life, a repercussion you may say. That will be the reaction of your actions, so you better know what your doing, right? Hell yeah!

All your actions have consequences. Don’t ever be fooled into thinking that your actions don’t have consequences. Don’t think you can get away with bad choices even if you don’t seem to get caught.

So, please know what your up to, then what your family is up to, your friends, your neighbors, your servants, so you may direct them in the right course of direction, so we may all live happily together in Jannah!

Start compiling questions and seek for answers from the Holy Quran, may Allah be your protector and helper!

Watch the way you live your life because you reap what you sow.

Younhee tamam hota hai

5 Jan

Youhee subha shaam hoti hai,
Zindagi apni tamam hoti hai.

Na kuch paaya, na khooya,
Jeewan ko apnay tamasha banaya.

Nadaniyon mai guzri apni tou zindigani,
Kadar iss zindagi ki humnay na jaani,
Kuch pal milay jo,
Hass ro kai beethay,
Haqiqat humnay kabhi bhe na maani.

Hy,
Younhee subha sham hoti hai,
Zindagi apni tamam hoti hai!

Been wanting to spare some time for myself, for quite some time now. But all in vain. I don’t even offer my prayers on time. How stupidly lousy I am. How ignorant of the consequences. How imensely oblivious of the outcomes. How ashammed of myself I truly am, right now.

It’s 2 in the morning and I haven’t offered my night prayer, uh man! I hardly ever wake up for fajr 😦 you know what, one of the identificication characteristics of ‘hypocrite’ is that they miss/ not regular in morning and the night prayer.Damn!

For how long, am I gonna live, 5 to 10 years maybe, make it even 20, what then? After that I’ll have to face all my short comings. Uh!

I disgust myself,
I truly do!

Heaven or Hell? You decide!

14 May

I was searching for this video, which is posted below. When i stumbled upon another video. The video shoeing a death scene of a Saudi football player “during” the match. Man! it’s not only frighting but also thought provoking. It’s the truth, the truth that we never want to believe. The truth which is not given it’s due respect. The truth about ‘death” and that every soul on this planet will die, one day or the other. God I’m too scared to post the video here. It totally freaked me out. It’s on youtube, go check it out yourself.

This one right here is a commendable effort byAhmed Bukhatir. A thought provoking nasheed, whose words should always and always be mind in mind. It reminds us of Who we are and what lies ahead of us. Think about it and then decide. Because you’re actions will either direct you to Heaven or let you burn in Hell, God forbid!

Always remember – You reap what you sow!

So, have you given much time to the “death” concept? Are you satisfied with your performance? Preparing yourself for the afterlife. Are you one of the “Believers” or simply killing time, till it’s too late.

Who knows?
Tomorrow could be your Day,
At last, it comes to Heaven or Hell
Decide which now, Do NOT delay!
Come on my brothers let us pray
Decide which now, Do NOT delay!

Oh Allah, please guide us to the right path. To the path of the believers and let us be one of the “Momineen’s and the one’s on the “Sirat-ul-Mustakeem”.
Have mercy, have mercy on our soul!

Ameen!

An attack launched at the Manawan Police Training Center near Lahore by unknown terrorists has left 25 injured and 20 policemen have lost their lives. Some bulletproof vehicle, have been sent to the training institute to recover the dead bodies.

The Heavily armed terrorists, some wearing police uniforms are still inside the building. And the gun battle is still going on. Police and the Army Rangers have circled the building. Tear gas shells are being thrown inside the building.

Yes another attack on our Nation has left us dumbfounded, again! A sad sight! No need to feel crippled by the fear, we need to stand boldly and face the situation.  We salute our Police, Army Rangers and all Armed forces, May God be with them.

Why all of this is happening, who are the dark forces behind it, what are the root causes is a different debate altogether. Now for the current situation that we’re into, people like me are just sitting at home, watching the news. So, the least we CAN do is make dua and never doubt it’s powers— seek help/protection from the Almighty Allah. The One with all the powers. He who is exalted in power, Wise.

Recite Aayat Kareema as much as possible.
Aayat kareema with translation

Make 2 nafil Namaz-e-hajat.
Keep praying to Allah!

So, Pakistani’s can we do this?
Yes we can!
Yes we can!

Do your bit!

Update:

26 have passed away, 90 injuired, and 4 Terrorists have been captured.

According to news correspondents who are inside premises of the Academy, commandos of elite force and army have captured the terrorists alive. After clearing the compound and arresting the terrorists, the commandos fired in jubilation and screams of “Allah Akber” and “Pakistan Zindabad” could be heard all over.

The gun-battle which begun at 7:30 in the morning came to an end at 3:30 pm. Our brave, praise worthy Police officers and other Law enforcement agencies have taken charge of the premises of the training center. 4 terrorists have been killed, some have been arrested and the rest committed suicide. 🙂

We have won the battle.

Jazak Allah khair, sun ker kushi hoee 🙂
Subhan Allah!

Losing Islamic Identity, aren’t we?

29 Mar

Something to think of...

I went to a Meelad yesterday. And there one fine lady read this poem aloud and it was one powerful piece of writing.  I knew it in a sec. that i had to have it. I had to publish it on my blog. Just had to.

Because, it’s so true, sad but true. This is who WE are. We, us Muslims, well most of us i know. We follow everything blindly as we are told, by our parents, grand-parents and so on. But, nobody questions. About all the why’s, how and where’s, anymore. They just follow whatever they are told to. And this has to stop now because, the Real Islam is one way or the other not in our mind, but it’s the culture that we are living/wasting our lives for. We think that it’s religion however what Islam wants us to be, how it wants its followers to be is not even brought into consideration anymore, since emotions took over.

People are happy listening to the tales of oh-so-many prophets and nobody even knows anything about their preachings, what they asked their fellow brothers to do, to surrender to the will of Almighty Allah. Night and day we live with the incessant thought that we can never be wrong. Never giving much room to thoughts that just might convince us otherwise.

Be the change you want in this world. Especially in our, Muslims world.

An appeal to Almighty God

11 Mar

Oh Lord, The Almighty God,
Hear my prayer, hear my prayer!

We stand here feeling faint,
bruised, dejected
we regret things we’ve done,
choices we’ve made,
what in earth have we done.
what a fool we were.

But we need you,
ever so,
all the more.

Don’t let chaos take over,
don’t let it happen,
don’t let violence win.
let not blood shed
the suffering, the unending pain,
Oh Lord! test us no more,
oh please Lord, please no more.

Protect our country,
our people,
from the forthcoming violence,
knave, cunning, shrewd spirits.
Banish the tyrant, the evil,
the enemy within.

Make them scatter,
let them fall,
save us from the hater’s grip
Save us all!

Oh Lord, The Almighty God,
Hear my prayer, hear my prayer!

Obey traffic rules?

9 Mar

We all know that there’s a ban on using mobile phones while driving. In other words, it’s illegal for you to use cellphone while driving.don't use cell phone while driving

It’s a different topic, whether it should be banned or not.  But my question to you is, do you obey it? Do you try to text someone with one hand on steering wheel anymore?

You know it’s dangerous, you even know it’s illegal now, but still, do you manage to keep it out of traffic-warden’s sight and carry on with your conversation. And it’s not just mobile phones, crossing red lights, over-speeding is not even brought into consideration,  sadly enough!

What will it take to make you understand. Are you that selfish. Don’t you want to change. Why can’t you respect traffic rules and regulations huh? Where’s your conscious, do you always have to wait for the traffic-warden to warn you or worse give you a ticket.

Next time when you’re about to break a traffic-law, just remind yourself that even though nobody saw you, even then Allah Almighty is watching you 24/7. And you will be questionable before him in life hereafter. You better know the answers then huh?

So, can you please start obeying traffic laws, palese!

Thank you! 🙂

A couple of days back, i was sitting at the dinning table with my two year old daughter, making sure she finishes her plate.  When suddenly, i heard the loudest thunder ever. The violent unexpected blow jarred my brain and my two year old daughter burst into a loud cry with fear oozing out of her sweet innocent eyes, reaching out an arm, trying to get me to wrap my arms around her tightly and hug her. That fear in her eyes reminded me of all the children going through worst emotional trauma every second in Palestine, even as I write this.

I trembled at the thought of children of Gaza. And their ephemeral pleasures as Israeli Govt.  intensified its bombing campaign. Their angelic faces all  drenched in fear, trembling malnourished bodies, utterly traumatized faces, eyes glancing fearfully around watching their loved ones suffer, burning houses and deafening explosions. And the blood thirsty monsters continue to shatter lives of innocent people in their quest to dismember Palestine and its natBoycott Israeli Products completely!ives. There’s no disguising the fact that the lives of children of Gaza will probably never be the same, even then we should try to comfort them as much as possible.

So do what you can! do what ya gotta do! i thinks it’s our duty not as a Muslim , not as a family but as human beings to raise our voice against these relentless attacks .

They have a right to happiness, right to freedom. Having said that apart from donations we must also Ban Israeli Products completely. Their main products include Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, Nestle, Nokia, Revlon >>>

Lurid details of Army opperation in Bajaur

21 Sep

In a shocking video, Hamid Mir throws light on the ongoing air and land Army operation against the militants, the so-called terrorists in the tribal region of Bajaur and Swat valley in the country’s northwest. Hamid Mir spoke, about the problematic issue of innocent civilians being the main focus of Pakistani Army in Bajaur operation, deliberately ignoring “Hot terrorists spots”. In order to achieve some “political goal”, the Pakistani Army is killing and maiming innocent civilians. What a shame! They are homeless in their own homeland.

I wonder what “can” we do to reverse this shocking reality.
Pray! Pray hard!
