Dream big and live it

28 May

A couple of days back, I was watching the movie, “Lagay raho munna bhai” (If I’m not wrong) well Munna bhai II. You must have seen it, have you? If not then go watch it before reading further hehehe :p

Oh well, in the movie, there comes a part where all the retired, aged basically “unwanted” elderly folks are politely kicked out of their houses by their children and now all of them share a house and all that Jazz. In one particular scene which made gave me food for  thought was: All the elderly folks were sitting together and discussing what they wanted to do all their life but because of the responsibilities, priorities and God knows what, they couldn’t live their dream. One wanted to fly, the other had a passion for singing, and  another wanted to marry, again, and so on…

But the main point here is, all their life, lemme stress on it “All their freaking life” they didn’t have time for themselves. It’s surprising that they hadn’t fulfilled their “dreams” by the age of 60 even. I know, life can be tough sometimes, sometimes it may seem that it’s cruel even but still. Their over-indulgence in other affairs had left them clueless of what they “wanted” from life. Shame!

Don’t let this happen to you, don’t just let the days go by, live every sec. Make plans, know what you want, set your priorities and give yourself a “high-priority” tag and then decide.

Shuffle, rearrange, shuffle again, your thoughts, your life and take control. Because, time, my friend, is an invaluable treasure. Therefore, instead of wasting it, take an instant decision and use time in a worthwhile way. Take some action before it’s too late and you’re too old to live your dream.

Know what you’re doing,
Think again!

Wo load shedding kia hoee?

7 Feb

Man! it’s been more than forty eight hours now and no load shedding. It kinda feels weird in an absolute ear-to-ear smile kinda way 🙂 Wonder what’s going on. Haven’t heard anything from the government though.

Right before this absolutely No-load shedding, light used to go out for two hours after every hour but, now no nothing, it’s not that I’m complaining, i don’t see anything to complaint now 🙂 but just thinking out aloud as to, what exactly happened here. How in earth did our government manage to accommodate the whole Punjab or maybe the whole country i don’t know all of a sudden, just like that. hmmm

Well what ever happened to all the energy crises,
I’m lovin’ it. 🙂

What were they thinking?

23 Mar

It all began on Sep. 30th, 2005 when a Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten printed twelveReprinting caricatures of the Holy Prophet protest caricatures or cartoons of the Holy Prophet P.B.U.H, entitled “Faces of Mohammad” some of which seemed to equate Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H. with terrorism. And then the not-so-unexpected happened as the cartoons stirred anger across the Muslim world with calls for boycotting Danish products, mass protests, Danish flag-burning incidents, Danish embassies were attacked and unfortunately some people even lost their lives.

And then after all that, the cartoons got reprinted. And their reason was:

“They say they wanted to show their commitment to freedom of speech after an alleged plot to kill one of the cartoonists behind the drawings.”

Know more>>>

The republication of the cartoons has drawn condemnation among Muslims. Arab News reported from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that the secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) had expressed regret about the new move.

“Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu urged Muslims to use legal and peaceful means to protest the outrage. He said that he wished the Danish media would have chosen another subject as a test case to reassert the freedom of speech instead of supporting a blatant act of incitement to hatred in a most unfortunate and senseless manner, noting that the newspapers were aware that this act would offend not only Danish Muslims but the world’s other 1.3 billion Muslims who have nothing to do with the alleged three-man terror plot.”

“The OIC General Secretariat would not hesitate to condemn the plotters in the strongest possible terms if their crime is established by the proper judicial Danish authorities. Although these individuals represent neither the Danish Muslims nor the Muslim world.” he added.

A note to Danish Officials or to whom it may concern: What do you want from us? Why would you do anything like this? What are you trying to prove?

A call to Muslims:Carefully read what Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is saying. Start boycotting Danish products, if needed organize peaceful protests. Let your voice be heard. Don’t involve innocent civilians who have nothing to do with it as many Danes condemn the printing of these cartoons.
So please be prudent and choose your words wisely, make use of your anger in a constructive way. Know more about Danish products and try to create or use substitute products.

First think about your choices and then make a choice. And my first choice is to boycott their products. Ban Danish products

Friend or Foe?

Javed Ghamidi, is a renowned islamic scholar, founding president of a well-known institute of Islamic Sciences Al-Mawrid   situated in Lahore and a member of Council of Islamic Ideology, a constitutional body responsible for giving legal advice on Islamic issues to Government and the Parliament.

Wanna know more? Lets see what wikipedia can tell us about Javed Ghamidi. Although I’ve been seeing his programs, interviews on sensitive issues like hijaab, interest and so on, for quite some time now, even then all i need to say about him is that he has yet to prove himself!  because even n don’t know much about him to say more. This seems to explain it pretty well.

Mr.Ghamidi He tries to explain everything by intellect, logic or aql and he seems to have a problem with a majority of the hadith, however islam comes with narration or naql not just with intellect or aql.

One thing that is truly commendable about him is his ever emphasis on decency and decorum of good manners which separates him from the rest but on the other hand there are a couple of issues ehich i would like to mention here on which i don’t agree with his point-of-view.

1> The hijaab issue. i Don’t think that the aayat of the Holy Quran was only refering to the wives of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa PBUH.

According to the Holy Quran, Surah Al-Ahzab (The Coalition) 33, verse 59:
O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
(we’ll dicuss it later in deatil)

2> Music being halal generally.

3> I don’t think that islam allows females to lead a mixed prayer or do immamat and i have ample backing to support it, which will be discussed soon insha ALLAH.
Ghamidi’s point-of-view is this.

My final point is that Islam is not meant for just educated people only. Its message is simple, something which can be understood by everyone. Just looking for a highly intellectual person to find you answeres sometimes does more bad than good. After all many of the worlds most famous atheists were also well known intellectuals of their time. When you listen to someone don’t like him because you like what he is saying and want to make it easy on yourself. You have to look into t he matter in-depth keeping in mind that there are only two filters, Quran and Saheeh-Hadith and then make a decision as you will be answerable for your judgements in your life-here-after.

May the Almighty provide us with willful understanding and keep us safe from joining the slanderers of this world.  Aameen!

Tough combination, tough luck!

Imagine ur self in a state of  dilemma and you just don’t know what to do then what exactly would you do? if there were two doors to choose from.
Now the question arises what’s behind those doors so here are your two beautiful  options, good luck! trust me you need it. heh!

Door 1> If you choose this particular door then both of your limbs as in the arms and legs duh! would be ‘chopped off’ and you’ll be allowed to live happily ever after, if you manage to survive after all that blood loss and all that shit. (I’m currently in a very sensitive mood so be a doll and mind my french will ya)
So what was i saying, oh yeah i need to tell you your other supposidly option i-e door no.2.
Lets see which surprises are lurking behind this special door.

Door 2>  You’ll be asked to live your life like a clown, no matter what! just smile. A car runs over you, what would you do haan? Whatever your thinking is the wrong ans to this particular question of mine, cos the right ans is ‘just smile and bear it’ like it never happened and mean it, say it from the core of your heart that you weren’t hurt, you didn’t feel anything, nope nothing not me, i’m as happy as ever.Your house falls down cos of rain, what do you do, you don’t complain just. Fake it buddy! Lemme ask another question, you ummmmmm fall off  K2 (second highest mountain in the world situated in Pakistan.) what are you suppose to do? Cleve enough haan. Last but not least this particular door also includes a daily dose of  two hours of happiness.

So, be realistic and  take your pick.
Which door would  YOU choose to live in.
I repeat be veeeery REALISTIC okay?
Thank you for your time.

Give-thanks-to ALLAH

Internet sources of various stripes are saying that the English-Arabic hamd, said to be sung by
Michael Jackson was actually sung by either Zain Bikha or by Yousuf Islam (the former Cat Stevens as the Arabic pronunciation, arabic accent is perfect and their voices are very much the same that it’s hard to differentiate etc etc.

Well if you ask me i don’t understand what the fuss is about. If it’s true that it’s actually sung by Mj, then well n good, masha ALLAH as the Arabic accent is simply out of this world and i welcome him to Islam and our brotherhood and may ALLAH bless him with true guidance and peace in his life, if not it still remains a remarable hamd as the lyrics, the arabic pronounceation is amazing.

In the end all i wanna say is that may ALLAH bless who ever sung this beautiful hamd, ameen.

Her 20th death anniversary

12 Oct

A girl all dressed up in red and black, a red backless dress with black cap sleeves, curls of her hair falling over her shoulders, black gloves, a diamond ring in her left hand’s ring finger and a black purse in her right hand, wearing high-heeled shoes, was standing at the window, staring outside.

A new beginning, a fresh start, 27th of May, it was her 20th birthday. And she wasn’t alone celebrating, the Moon, the stars and the ever expanding dark sky were her guests.

As she gently opened the window to her balcony, wind softly moved the lace curtains. Wind tenderly lifted the curls of her hair into the air and back as she stepped outside. It was eleven o clock at night and oh so quiet out there. In front of her lay a beautifully carved wooden table, covered in a plain red tablecloth. Her birthday cake was resting on top of it. She looked at the blackened sky, took a deep breath and closed her eyes, feeling the un-felt, letting the wind tickle and play with her body. She stood there
with no smile, no excitement, no thing at all for quite some time. All the guests had arrived and it was time to cut the ‘happy’ birthday cake. So she moved towards the wooden table, leaned towards it, blew out the flickering candles and made a wish. A ‘wish’ as empty as her heart, then picked up the knife and sliced the cake, whispering herself a very ‘happy’ birthday. The knife as smoothly sliced the
cake as the blade neatly cuts the skin open.

She always wondered why people are all so excited when it comes to celebrating their birthdays, whats
so special about them, its just ‘another’ day, when u gotta dress up nicely and pretend to be smiling and all satisfied inside.

Perplexed by these questions, she picked up the peg shaped glass , pour some wine in it,whispered ‘cheers’, took a sip and placed it back onto the table, later picked up her cake, went in and placed it into the fridge and strolled towards her bedroom.
