While Us President Barack Hussein Obama is busy in his inaugural ceremony in Washington D.C. Ilham Anas is busy enjoying sweet scent of fame. Ihlam Anas a photographer from Indonesia holds uncanny resemblance to Barack Obama in his commercial. Ilham says he is often mistaken for Obama and people ask to take pictures with him.

“When Obama won, my colleagues played a practical joke on me — they made me wear a suit, a tie, and took pictures of me posing as Obama,” said Ilham

“The pictures spread very quickly on the Internet. It was phenomenal. Then TV stations and an advertising agency got in touch with me. I never thought I would be a star in a commercial, then this happened. It’s very fortunate” said Ilham.

There’s been celebrity look alike agencies around for years helping you to earn that extra sum of income through public performances, T.V programmes, something like “Hum sub Umeed sai hain”. There is even work available to people who can imitate a celebrity voice. This could include radio ads or making recordings of mobile phone ring tones or joke phone calls. Tens of thousands of look-alikes earn a decent income from their features, mostly at corporate events and private parties.

And if you’re lucky enough you could even win a real fake celebrity Award for it. So go on people find that celebrity in you and be a star yourself! 🙂

Well, if Elvis can have impersonators, why cant Obama? After all, he is the most famous person on the planet right now. Is he not?
