An encounter with reality

14 Jul

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be,
There’s a shadow hanging over me…
(a song by BEATLES)

Heh! its funny what devastating results a single incident can cause, suddenly a long loved symphony can turn into a dead beat, the whole picture in front of you changes in a couple of seconds later, how your life falls apart in front of eyes.

Shame he climbed the highest mountain
swam against roaring seas,
confounded rivals,
longing for the sweet smell of victory.

With little food and water,
scorch marks and scars all over his body,
he fell on his knees remorsefully
cursed his life and mourned.

later,lifted his head
screwed up his courage
and carried on.

Finally, he reached his destination
later, found out that it was a place
where
the winner leaves empty handed
and the loser takes it all.
